How do I resume a game I didn't finish?

Sudoku automatically saves your progress when you leave a game in progress. Return to the Home screen and tap "Continue" to pick up exactly where you left off — board state, score, errors, and timer included.

How does the clue system work?

Each difficulty level gives you a limited number of clues. Spending one reveals a cell and costs points, so use them sparingly. Once you run out, no more clues are available for that game.

How is my score calculated?

You earn base points for every correct placement, multiplied by a factor that depends on the difficulty level. Completing a full row, column, or 3×3 grid g ives a bonus. The score multiplier decreases every 30 seconds, so faster solves earn more.

Why did my win streak reset?

A streak breaks once you make more than 3 errors in a single game. Keep your mistakes at 3 or fewer to keep the streak alive — it's tracked separately for ea ch difficulty level.

My stats disappeared or look wrong

All statistics are stored locally on your device — there is no cloud account or sync. If you reinstalled the app, restored from a backup that predates your last games, or switched devices, your local stats won't carry over. Uninstalling the app also permanently deletes this data.

How do I change dark mode, sound, or vibration?

Open Settings from the Home screen to toggle color theme, sound effects, and haptic feedback. Your choices are saved on-device and persist across app restarts.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. Sudoku works fully offline — puzzle generation, scoring, and statistics all run locally on your device. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is stored.
